Not because I had to wake up early.
I hated the beginning of school because it meant having to try on clothes for the fall and winter in the heat and humidity of warm sunny days. I would rather have been outside playing than stuck in a dressing room with a pile of clothes to try on.
It was never easy.
Those clothes were all made for my tall thin friends down the street. I was short and " chubby " in all the wrong places. It was torture trying to fit in, trying to wear a paticular size to be just like my friends.
That was never going to happen.
When I had kids of my own, I swore I would never torture them when I had to buy them clothes.
Ironically,I found myself working at a children's clothing store a few years back. I watched the same senario that I had play out with moms and their kids. Those same agonies came flooding back.
Then it hit me there had to be a better way.
I created a how to book and an app called Measuring Up to solve this frustrating issue.
With a step by step instructional guide to buy clothes for your children, moms are able to gain more "me" time, save money and spend more quality time with their kids away from the dressing room.
The book will be for sale shortly on Amazon.com and the $1.99 app can be purchased on Apple for iphone, ipad or ipod.
Measure Twice, Buy Once and enjoy your kids again.
